Drop block for PCP/CO2 adapter
Drop block allows you to mount a regulated air bottle below your air rifle, creating a compact, practical and ergonomic setup. It has been designed and machined by me to work with my PCP/CO2 adapter.
Preparation
Before you begin, make sure you have all the required parts:
-PCP/CO2 adapter
-Drop block
-Banjo bolts (M10x1.0 hexagon)
-Paintball adapter with G1/2-14 thread
Assembly
Install the PCP/CO2 adapter with the M10x1 thread. A detailed installation guide is available here
Before proceeding, make sure the sealing washers are installed in the correct orientation.
Metal/rubber bonded sealing washers (like most washers) have one sharp side and one rounded side. Install them with the rounded side facing the Drop Block plate to avoid scratching the aluminum surface.
The illustration below shows the correct order of all components during assembly.
First assemble the Drop Block plate, banjo bolts, and sealing washers.
Next, install the first housing half (the left half shown in the photo).
Install the O-ring onto the PCP/CO2 adapter.
Then install the Drop Block plate together with the inner housing half. To tighten the banjo bolts, you will need either a Torx T40 driver or a 12 mm wrench.
Install the second housing half.
If desired, you can apply a very small amount of cyanoacrylate (CA) glue to bond the two housing halves together.
Install the G1/2-14 paintball adapter into the Drop Block.
Your Drop Block is now ready for use.
You can connect any compatible air source, for example:
Adjustable HPA regulator
Fixed-pressure HPA regulator
SodaStream CO2 cylinder
88 g CO2 cartridge
